Styling Your Breton for a Summer Heatwave
The UK has recently experienced a heatwave - and the days have been warm and bright since!
So, ahead of another spell of scorching weather (we hope!), we're sharing some ways you can style your Breton t-shirt to stay cool and look great during the summer months. Read on...
For a City Break
Heading on a sightseeing city break this summer? Your uniform du jour, then, has got to be a pair of comfy and well-fitting denim shorts, complete with a Breton shirt and a crossover body bag or bum bag (they're back and they're stylish as well as practical in 2022. Yes really).
Pair your denim shorts with our short-sleeved Le T-Shirt Rouge (pictured above) - it's perfect for a pop of colour too.
For the Beach
Booked a beach getaway? Lucky you! You'll want some cool linen shorts for warm days and evenings - ideal for pairing with any of our short-sleeved Breton shirts. Take a look here on our site and pick out your favourite.
For the Office
Fortunate enough to work in an office that allows casualwear? Or perhaps your boss encourages 'Dress Down Fridays'. Either way, your trusty Breton-striped shirt is your go-to garment when you'd still like to look like you've made the effort...but not too much.
Our Mariniere Naval Femme is a great smart-casual choice for the office, teamed with linen trousers or chic palazzo pants. Find the Mariniere Naval Femme shirt (pictured below) here.

For a Music Festival
Booked tickets for a music festival? Glastonbury's on this weekend and there will be many more festivals to enjoy besides. If it's going to rain, you'll no doubt want to pair your Breton shirt with your wellies - and a pair of jeans, in case it drops cooler in the evenings. Opt for cool, 70s inspired flares for a fun, festival look.
If you want to brave it - and why not - opt for shorts with any one of our stylish Breton shirts. We like the traditional-looking short-sleeved Le T-Shirt (above) which is available in a host of sizes and is a flattering fit.
As well as your trusty Breton-striped shirt this summer, you'll want to do your best to keep calm and stay cool by packing a few other essentials for a holiday or summer day out. We recommend a cooling facial mist, plenty of bottles of water (kept in a cool bag, if possible) and a hand fan.
If you're worried about sweating too much, pack a change of clothes to slip on later in the day. If you're going on holiday, you'll want more than a few outfit options, so don't forget to shop our range here on the site.
